Project Overview:

This project involved the comprehensive renovation of a 1970s villa, one of six located adjacent to the beach on Odo Street, North Beach. Completed in December 2024, the renovation aimed to modernise the villa while preserving its original charm.

Scope of Work:

Structural Changes:

  • Removal of several interior walls to create a more open and spacious layout
  • Bricking up of an existing bathroom window for improved privacy and functionality.
  • Replacement of two outdated sliding doors with modern, energy-efficient alternatives.

Interior Renovations:

  • Kitchen: Installation of a brand-new kitchen featuring contemporary cabinetry, high-end appliances, and a functional layout designed for modern living.
  • Laundry: A completely new laundry area with updated fixtures and efficient storage solutions.
  • Bathrooms and WC: Total overhaul of all bathrooms and the WC, incorporating modern fittings, stylish tiling, and enhanced lighting for a fresh and clean look.
  • Living Areas: Renovation of living spaces to enhance comfort and aesthetics, including new flooring, updated lighting, and fresh paint.

Objective:

The goal of this renovation was to transform the dated 1970s villa into a modern, stylish, and functional home that maximises its beachfront location. The updates not only improved the aesthetic appeal but also increased the overall value and liveability of the property.

Completion:

The project was successfully completed in December 2023, resulting in a beautifully renovated villa that perfectly blends modern amenities with the relaxed, coastal charm of North Beach.
