North Perth Bathroom

by Essence Interiors

This main bathroom had a bath in it originally. This was not being used and it took up all the space in the room. The existing vanity was long and extended behind the entry door, making it squeezy to move around. The shower was in the corner and kind of poky and in a tight spot.

The client wanted the bath gone and the new shower to replace it. The shower was to be bigger. The vanity seemed too long for the space and the owner wanted a modern, smaller vanity to create more space. In the area where the shower was originally, the owner wishes to build in new cabinets for storage eventually. All new tiling and a paint job freshens the look.

We installed a new fan and 2 down lights, to improve the overhead lighting.

The Ensuite was a very tight space. It needed opening up so we removed a brick nib wall that was between the shower and vanity. We replaced the old vanity, with a new free standing one. The taps were renewed and we added a new semi framed shower screen, with pivot door. Discarding the Federation theme, we used the same coloured coffee and white tiles, in the new ensuite and in the laundry, to freshen up the new wet areas. Note that these tiles were bought at a discount warehouse for only $15-$20 a square metre. The vanity was also a bargain find at only $700.
